Had a MY2000 X25XE estate in my garage fo rthe weekend, owner said it's losing brake fluid. And when I drove it home I realized one ore more rear wheel bearings needed replacement. 277000 km on the clock, seemed that drivers side was changed in the past, passenger side was rusted solid. Left a puller in tension over night, gave it some heat with electric blow gun a few times and got it out (don't have a welder...). Both bearings were bad, play at both. Replaced and all is well again.
Brake fluid was leaking from the rear where the pipes go under the heat shields. Pulled one and it broke so it was about time to replace. Bought 10 meters of line, four connectors, two hoses and two pipes, short ones for the wheels were readily available. Replaced whole length from ABS unit to rear wheels, not looking the most professional pipe work, I could not use the bender in tightest bends and not at all on the engine bay but most important is that now it is safe to drive again.
Wonder why GM/Bosch has made three ABS unit connections with M10 connector and ONE, rear left IIRC, is M12?!?! I was more than surprised, found it out when I had completed last pipe...
