Spent the morning cleaning & conditioning my leather interior, it was quite dry in places, particularly the headrests. I was amazed at how dirty they were...Being black I suppose you don't see it...

I will repeat the conditioning process, in a few days time.

Cheers  :)

Changed the stat on the Astra, will admit that it was a pattern one on there that had jammed open, this was to replace the pattern stat that jammed shut. OE one now fitted and all toasty warm again

Not been happy with how truck has been running since headgasket was replaced,so retimed it up as i never moved crank when i originally checked timing before stripping head down, and i rechecked everything my own way and it confirmed what i thought, crank was a tooth out from tdc,all put back together and now running as it should  :y

For the sake of a few minutes extra to check, it's well worth doing. :y

Finaly got round to repairing the non working front speakers on my 2000 XJ cherokee, passenger side was just a bad speaker, but the drivers side was a broken speaker wire in rubber flexi boot. fitted a pair of pioneer 17cm duel cone jobbies. job done.
still got a list to get through though, hey ho the joys of jeep ownership.

I think I've spotted your problem here.. it wasn't a failed HG, you've been pouring the coolant into the wrong end of the car! :y
