VW LT, the more old fashioned the better. Unburstable - and even policeman-proof...

For that you need one that is earlier than the late 90's Sprinter type body. Because those are hopelessly unreliable and expensive to fix. And that doesn't include VW's parts policy. Which is simple but misguided: they don't keep any!

Policemen might be hard on vehicles, but nothing compares to a window-fitter for vehicular abuse.

Had it valeted by the Kosovans... Did a good job too :y

Then broke the LPG :'( Not had a chance to look properly but pinging up injector faults 2 (intermittently) and 4. Looks like an expensive few days running around on petrol until I get a chance to look properly ::)

It'll hurt my pocket if I carry on driving it the way I have been lately... Doubt I'll manage more than 250 miles to a tank! :o :o

Average economy showing is around 14mpg at present :-X ::)

I'm allowing for the fact I'll have dog, baby and wife in the car, plus she's driving it over the weekend as she's had surgery on her left foot so needs an auto

Hope to get 400 out of a tank on Friday when I go up to Scotland :-\ but after that I bet I don't get more than 20mpg in the highlands over the following ten days :'(

Also picked up a brand spanking Peugeot 2008 that I have sourced for someone. Initially quite impressed, for what it is :y

This is top of the range, top power derv drinker. Not something I would buy for me but as a (relatively) small FWD shitbox it seems reasonable. It's got all the toys bar the auto parking feature and the touchscreen sat nav seems ok
