Had some fun the other week, took the 4wd off road and tried out the new tyres and wheels i got of ebay for £51,they certainly helped to get to some places a land rover couldnt get up,here some pics  ;D

The new wheels and tyres, just waiting to get a new pair of matching mud tyres so as to put steel as spare and put alloy back on.

Steepest part of the offroad course we were on,and steeper than it looks

At the balance point opposite wheels off the ground, sorry cant see the front but it was happening tho.

Replaced air on compressor on saloon - ATS down the road don't have any gas until next week though!

Then I thought I'd do an oil change instead and things got much worse. Oil filter cover would not move, so got the breaker bar out and the whole things starts going around and around! Tried strap wrench and chain type with socket on to keep body still but the cap will not come off.

Any thoughts? Or do I give up and take it to a garage? (Spent 2 hours trying so far!)

Latest. On way back from London 90-95 degrees. Low coolant light came on. At home, engine off, expansion tank dropped 50%. No apparent leaks other than seepage from cap?

Don't drive/run it... it will leak. Alot.

Either beat ten bells out of it and renew or replace with threaded bush and spin on :y

I have 2 filters in stock though  :D

Access is the problem I think - will have to find way of getting car higher before I can attach it. The whole thing won't come off if I just keep unwinding it?

What a stupid design!
