Yesterday evening, changed the rear pads and the rear shocks on the Battlebus.

On the upside, its stopped that high pitched squeal.

On the downside, I now know I have a broken spring. 'dangle berries'.

Rear springs replaced on Battlebus this morning, thanks to Marks DTM for the description of how to do it, it was, as he says "piss easy" ;D

Sadly, changing the springs appeared to cause the turbo to fail ;D.  Much smoke, no go ;D

Sorted that quickly, usual split rubber connector that plagues all DTi's.

Contemplating changing the oil, as its been in about 4k, but I think my sugar levels need to recover first, its bloody hot around these parts. That really oppressive humid heat.

And because the sausage and cider festival is on round the corner, I can sit on the drive and listen to the bands :)

Get round there. A few pints of cider will sort your sugar levels out!!  8)  :y

But perhaps not the sobriety levels :D

That said, oil changes on the drive are mostly about lyimg down, so perhaps it would be fine ;D

Oil changed in the Battlebus as well, which is pretty straightforward on that, except you need to remove one of the inlet hoses (GM clearly didn't think that one through.

The hardest bit being decanting the 20l drum into the 5l cans, as the pump I bought was less use than a used, split condom smeared in dogshit.

On the 2.6, Fitted new OSF wheel arch liner and applied a good coat of Dinitrol around the inner wing and chassis rail sections, removed self levelling pump and pipework, cleaned, rust converted and painted front crash bar and fitted MV6 bumper.

Failed to remove plugs in bosses to fit lambda's in new position, now soaking in plus gas.

Failed to replace door lock solenoid as it appears I only have two faulty ones left.  :'(

On the 3.2, well I looked at it as I reversed onto the drive.

Doesn't that shag the sensor?

No sensors in them, these are the bosses that Daz welded post main cat on the 2.6's exhaust, I've only just got round to buying two new genuine Lambdas (aborted all attempts to get the originals out!) at the right price, to fit.
