£1100  :)
For a Zafira-A?

Was it top of the range ("Elegance") and in A1 perfect condition?  If not, way, way, way overpriced.

And the 2.0DTi was a hopeless engine when GM started fitting it, and hasn't aged well.
Errrr...no. He was offered £1100 for his shitbox.

Ah.

I wouldn't sell either of mine for £1100.  The Zafira, however, I'd rip their hand off :)

Well that was a quick £290 spent.  Another 12 months,
But then reading how many aren't taxed, is it worth it.

Slowly sifting through the last few jobs ready for Tuesdays MoT...

Just got to swap the steering wheel, tidy up the wiring for the secondary audio, swap the rear wheels over and change the seal on the oil pressure sensor, fit some new bulbs and put some fuel in. Oh and tidy the tracking up a bit ::)

Need a 24mm deep socket for the pressure switch, so that can wait ::) Tracking actually looks ok, and a quick run round the close suggests it's ok, if a little light on the steering, so that will be done as soon as MoT is finished...

Wiring can wait until it stops raining, otherwise all the wheels are done as are the bulbs. Test drive suggests that the brake pedal is soft, not squishy as there's resistance, but the pedal can be pushed almost to the floor which is disconcerting :-\ pulls up keenly enough though and there's no obvious leaks, so might simply be a spot more bleeding required or some old fluid left in... was pressure bled with new fluid though :-\

Will see what happens on Tuesday and go from there...

24mm spanner. Or a small adjustable;it's not tight. Are you sure it's the seal that's leaking and not the unit itself as that is a common failure and a £4 fix

Couldn't get a spanner on it and still have room to swing it :-[

Got a new seal whilst I was at Vx the other day... opportunist shopping as I needed the banjo washers for the front calipers and they happened to have stock...

The bulk of the oil in that area seems to be from the crank seal, ie fresh... the sensor side is blacker and gungier suggesting a slight weep :-\

Fixed the climate control by fitting the new loom and plug I pilfered from on omega at scrapyard yesterday.

Not much today apart from waiting for the AA after the Omega broke down luckily in a safe place. The engine just cut-out after it got warm (presumably the common sensor problem i thought at the time) although the code the AA picked up was P0725 and later i checked also and the P0725 code was under transmission with the following message (Engine Speed Input Circuit) engine started up fine once it had cooled down, Likely cause would be the crank sensor going by these symptoms?  :-\
