Pulled the interior from the white one and started unpicking the AV wiring left over from when it was a cab... need to decide whether to box it all up and flog it or fit it to the the black one...

Rear seat backs needed a grinder to remove thanks to a failed interlock >:( and nearly turned it into a dog van when the centre seatbelt anchors started to round off... Both required undoing solely using a 2ft breaker bar :o

Don't worry, mine was sat for 7 years, so it'll a long time before you end up passing my old girl's record  :) They can always be resurrected.  :)

Did you start the car now and then just to keep things free and lubricated  :-\ I use to do that but heard it can do more harm than good  :-\
Perhaps just take the battery off and leave it alone .

Mate, after the dispack blew (dodgy maintenance, naughty dad previous owner!) she sat for a year, then we did the rocker covers, nearly assembled the engine back together, then nothing. Then nothing for another 6 years. Literally dusted the cobwebs off, reassembled the plenum/throttle body, and after much efforts getting her to run right (rotted through fuel line, air leaks, ICV, and somehow a badly adjusted throttle body screw!) she purred like a sewing machine in a bath full of oil  :y

7 years, sat on the east coat of England, outside in all weathers, without turning a wheel. Now she's done me 6,000 miles trouble-free (ish!!) motoring, on top of the 176k she'd done since 1996.  :)

Haha. Jesus, if he came anywhere near my car he'd leave with the money still in his pocket and an idler-arm-shaped dent in the back of his head!  :D

Went fot MOT Today and passed that. :y

Then decided to remove and refit the two front wheels,Knowing that they were gonna be a pain, And i didnt want any problems if i ever get a puncture..

Well when the bolts were out they were rock solid, Had to kick them to death to free them. Wire brushed both surfaces and put that copper slip stuff on, Hoping that it will be easier at the roadside if needed...
