Bought it a battery...

...to get it to the Mot :-X

Only to find that the garage had screwed the appointment up and booked it in for next Tuesday >:(

So had the aircon regassed whilst waiting for them to fit me in... That now works so simply waiting for the dreaded test...

Well...

It failed ::) hardly a surprise considering it has done barely 300 miles since March 2014 :-X

That said, it's failed on headlight beam pattern indistinguishable due to cloudy lenses and a lack of reserve travel on the handbrake...

So happy enough with that little lot  8)

Happy enough with that, although the sods charged full whack for the Mot...  Might have summat to do with me asking him not to Jack it by the diff...  Conversation went summat like this...

'we always jack rear wheel drive cars by the diff'
Not mine you don't.
'the sills look a bit crumbly so don't blame me if it collapses'
Sills are replaceable,  diff mounts aren't.

Hurrumph :-X

Sills were perfectly fine btw ::)

That's actually pretty normal, I've had the same conversation. And I normally jack RWD cars by the diff too

Drove the BMW to the local MOT place .. asked if they could change the track rods for me next week because I'm feeling lazy.  Booked it in for Thursday, drove home.

Then remembered I can't work from home next Thursday as my boss is over. D'oh! :-[

Scraped and scraped and scraped the tinting film glue off one window with large amounts of carb cleaner. Think i'll wait for the warmer weather and try the steamer method on the rear screen.

Been to see Serek, car booked in for brakes. Came home and gave her a quick wash and prepped it ready for next weekends cleaning marathon.
