If a car is advertised at a certain price, why do you expect to get a discount?
I've just been to the Chinese. It cost £21.30, but I didn't offer £20.

I would have. ::) I bought a SH desk chair last week, in the local Office shop at £25, offered £20, and took it away. :y

And you took it for a test drive? You're lucky to be alive.  ::)

Thought I'd get lots done this weekend - I was aiming to have the (old Jag) wheels on the kit car.

Fell at the first and second hurdles - I can't find the old Jag wheel nuts (or any M12x1.25 nuts, in fact!) >:(

Then realised I've never actually put a front hub on a car that uses old fashioned taper bearings so googled how to set the end float.. tried all sorts of instructions (most people just say "seat the bearings, back it off, finger tight till you can feel just a hair of play") and I think what I settled on is actually likely "too tight" so it'll be backed off again tomorrow to try and hit the magic 0.001-0.003" of end float the book describes.

So much for rolling this weekend...

Fitted all 4 of the older 'flat' style Elite alloys I had in the garage, with Kumho KU39's on them to the 3.2, vast, vast improvement over the shitty Nexens. Very happy  :)

Also had pair of Kumho KH31's fitted to the rear of the 2.2, as the rears were shot legally speaking.

Kumho's all around  :D

Rally Design stock various M12x1.25 wheelnuts for about £1 each if that helps. You won't get them this weekend though ;D

Yep sounds about right, had an Opel manta many years ago tighten hub nut to a certain torque value and then carefully slackennut until a 4" feeler gauge could be dragged through between washer and bearing. The tricky bit castlated nut so had to be careful of where the hole for the split pin was.

Fitted a better set of reversing sensors...

Removed the rear seats and trim, fitted soundproof stuff, fitted new rear components...

Currently in the middle of rewiring the rear to accomodate the new speakers and amplifier :y

Removed all BOSE stuff when I first got my Miggy, around 2 1/2 years ago... only because the BOSE H/U was shagged and all speakers needed replaceing.....

Should be back together later....

Flushed cooling system and loaded it with Toyota Antifreeze/Coolant for max protection.  Used the concentrated "Long Life Coolant" due to it not having silicates, borates, net gelling and no seal issues.  I prefer the Ethylene Glycol based stuff over DEX cool and have seen very long water pump service in my other GM cars with this Toyota product.   Finished the coil pack relocation this past week.  Next project is the Oil exchanger bypass to external cooler.

Not to car, but to garage - tidied up following have to get one of my roller cabs replaced (which mean the contents of the top and step up boxes were scattered all over the place ;D).

Hoovered garage floor again, managed to pull up a lot of paint by the door, looks like water has crept under the paint somehow.  Also noticed how badly I'd chipped the floor near one of the workbenches.  Looks like come summer, I'll need to drop another coat on it.
