Checked out the radio as I thought it had developed a fault. It didn't matter what radio channel I selected, George Michael was playing on all channels. Very strange.  :'(
Anyway, I got home and the house radio and Freeview was just the same so it must be a broadcasting fault.  ;)

Indeed. Next, he'll be waking up  in a cold sweat imagining that a Range Rover has come through his living room window. :D

Ah yes, the Range Rover incident.

Apparently he'd been to 'Club Tropicana' and a friend living close by had said to 'Wake me up before you go go'. The street was quiet when 'Wham', the Range Rover hit the house. As he got out George was heard to say 'Jesus, to a child'. He told investigators that he was not that familiar with the area and thought he was coming around 'A different corner'. He apparently told the house owner that if he needed the house fixing 'I'm your man'. The owner had 'Faith' that it would be sorted. George did a short stretch for this and when he came out (no pun intended) he was heard to say 'Freedom'.

I'll get my coat.  ;D

Just took the omega in for its mot and as i haven't used the car for 3 months the eml light came on.It passed the mot without problem apart from the eml light being an advisory, hopefully a bit of using will correct it.Fault code of 0300 it didn't sound right but on the way back it sounded back to normal, will keep an eye on this and hopefully light will go out.

Generic misfire. Usual checks - check trim levels, MAF readings, then check plug wells.

At work, so cant do much, but checked the fluids and pulled the n/s coil pack out to check the recently fitted camgasket is oiltight. Thankfully, all is well.  :)

Even before you get your toolkit out - pop the bonnet and have a feel of the foam on the underside of the scuttle - if it is soaked with water and dribbles water onto the coil packs then you have one probable culprit.

Used the passenger side seat base of the CDX seats I got off Ken to replace my collapsed Elite driver's one.
It's much firmer as I now sit about 20mm higher in the car, and as a bonus, the seat heater works for the first time in the six years I've owned the car ;D

While I had the seat out, I gave the fire extinguisher bracket that I made about two years ago a squirt of black paint.

I cleaned the Omega and thought about changing the oil. Ran out of time so I took the German to the foreigners to clean. Must admit they do a cracking job but I'm not sure the Omega wheel arches would withstand the high forces of the pressure washer.  ;D

Have had a small annoying coolant leak for a few weeks. Nothing visible, but would not lose any if heater was on Hi all the time

Replaced HBV, on removing the old one  , I could see the  trace of white coolant residue where the leak was coming from.

Only done it yesterday , but all seems good now   :y :y
