Continuing with the restoration of the 04 estate, 3.2 V6 Special, ex-police, Collision Investigation Unit from Thames Valley.

Removed all of the trim needed to get to the nuts that hold the roof bars on, (which are now free to a good or bad home if you need them, message me) Removed all of the gutter trim, rear side windows, light bar, grille, headlights and now on to the bumpers tomorrow. Then on to the prep for painting.

Drove up to visit Serek to have a couple of jobs done ... and it was one of those days where if it can go wrong it will go wrong ... wrong parts supplied by motorfactors, and then they only provided one not two replacements .. so with some ingenuity and perseverance he got the car driveable again !

Going back in a couple of weeks to have a couple more things fixed as he now knows exactly what needs doing to what !!

So, Serek, many thanks for your professionalism and attention to detail, see you again later in the month :)

Started stripping the 2.2 breaker, scuttle looks to have never been off so as I suspected the power sounder was still in place, bugger took 20 minutes to stop squawking in a bucket of water , is this a record?

Ok, it was Sunday but took the monza to a show in Wallingford. It includes a parade around the town before assembling on show field. On M25 coming home, had to do the childish thing at the two tunnels on northern section. Outside lane, backed off to around 60 mph then into kickdown through the tunnels. Some of you know how much sound I get fromthe exhaust on the car

Yeah - I do the same in the Westfield and I predict that this is a pastime AaronJB will take up once the cobra is on the road. 8)

Emptied said bucket and the frigging thing kicked off again, duly smashed to bits and peace is restored  ;D

Hitched a borrowed trailer to it, and collected my boss's motorbike.
It turns out that at a constant 55mph, the car does 35mpg.
