Declared SORN on the Elite  :(

Tried to do it on-line last night but the 11 digit reference number on the V5C wasn't being accepted  >:( I discovered that DVLA sent out replacement V5Cs in 2011 with completely different reference numbers  ::)

Today, I removed the exhaust back box because it has a bloody great hole in it.
Then I decided to check the rear pads - glad I did, they were nearly gone too  :o

Budget another £20 for handbrake shoes while you're in there

Standard pads for disc brakes.

Hand brake uses shoes inside the drum.  :)

Drove it again and listened to all the noises the exhaust and suspension are making.

Been trying to book my car into Witham tyres to get wheel alignment done. Chose this place as they have a good reputation - i.e. actually know how to use the Hunter equipment. Been calling them for weeks and assumed they were too busy to answer the phone.
Found out this morning that they have gone bust.  :(
Got to start the search again, for a place locally which will do the job properly.  ::)

I changed the front pads on mine yesterday and when I checked the rears they are well down. I'm sure the rears are original as I can't recall changing them on this one.  :-\

Joking aside, I have the details of the guy who was selling (non vented) OE ones on ebay for a tenner, he's localish to me.  Given the price and they are OE, I wouldn't even consider anything else.

Obviously, as yours are vented, you will need to reuse your old pins and spring - we haven't found a cheap supplier for them.

So that's what that light is.  ::)  I thought TC was 'Turbo Charger'.  ;)  Thought it wasn't quite right that it drifts as I apply the power leaving a roundabout.  ;D
