They do run well, for whatt they are - until they dont.  ;D

Tbh, I reckon I just got a bad one for whatever reason. The 1.5 dci k9k engine is used in all sorts of cars (Renault, Mercedes, Nissan, Dacia) and has been around for years. Doesnt have a bad reputation for reliabilty on the whole.
This one was always one thing after another, so Im glad to see the back of it.

             Don’t do it again 😭😭🤑⚠️⚠️❌📣📣📢

Fair comment.  ;D
That one on ebay is the same as mine apart from mine has less miles.................and now half an engine,  ;D
If I get the Megane convertibale I posted the link to, I have a spare turbo, injector, camshaft, cambelt & tensioner and battery .
All new within the last few thousand miles. Or 0 miles in the case of the camshaft.
Also 30 litres of diesel I drained from Pierre.
Scrap man is just getting a pile of scrap with 4 wheels on it. He wont know though as the old turbo, injector camshaft are in the car with all the other bits I dismantled.  ;D

Drove over to see my brother as he's just finished a course of radiotherapy. Fog was quite thick in places and temp was below freezing both ways. Was surprised, though i suppose i shouldn't have been, of the amount of cars about not using lights or only having DRL's on , which mostly means no rear lights. Also when i took notice of the drivers, the vast majority of the culprits were of the fair sex. Makes you think.  ;D

.

Exactly the same here , we had lunch out at a local pub & I commented on how many vehicles were being driven with no lights & the majority of the offending drivers were female.

Changed the front discs / pads on the Omega ready for MOT tomorrow.
The Bremobos I fitted 2 or 3 years ( max. 10k miles)ago still had knackered inner faces, just like any other discs that go on the front of an Omega, so I settled for cheaper Eichers this time. Will probably have to bin them in a couple of years for the same reason anyway.  ::)
Also checked all the lights work as they should and turned off the EML light.
Hope it passes as Im planning no car work now until Winter is over.

To be honest i've found most floating caliper setups do this on the inside disc face, just that the Omega's pads seem to cover less surface area than most so the problem is worse.
