Received a little girlie motor yesterday for the daughter, who starts driving in October. Need time to get it to my standards and go over it fully.

Been nice working on a car again.

I felt old when he mentioned the apprentice popping over in his Evoque ( or whatever it is) I had the thought that this was probably the little lad who was making all the noise in the background of the cambelt DVD.

Today I did about 3/4 of an oil change on hers.

Unfortunately, using my shiny new Pela 6000 pump was long winded and quite unsuccessful.  I'm guessing it was user error, but I did read the destructions, honest!

Mines slow to start but once it gets going it’s ok, and it gets most of the oil out. Can’t see how you can be doing anything wrong really.    I feel bad for recommending it now.

The temperature of the oil being the critical factor for successful draining.

Had four new tyres fitted. Might actually have some grip now

Ordered a cambelt kit, Auxbelt kit and pricing up condenser and radiator currently.
