As a way of an apology for the abuse it got last month - tracks I wouldn't take a crossover up, let along a low saloon, and of course it's drowning - I put on some illuminated tread plates at the front (struggling to find any SWB ones for the rear)
https://store.jaguar.com/c2d48819-treadplate.html
Thanks - my dealer a year or so ago told me they couldn't get them any more, lying bastid, so never thought to check JLR direct!

I wonder why rears are more expensive than fronts, despite being much smaller ;D

I never had you down as that kind of tart  ;).

Presumably she's going to repay your kindness by popping an inlet manifold  :-X
.

Oh yes they do that, especially when mapped (don’t ask me how I know)😢😳
As neither of mine are 2 years old yet, I'm hoping they will last a bit longer....

Drove it to Pickering for a short break. These diesel’s are in their element just cruising along motorways. A journey of 230 miles and it cost me peanuts in fuel.  :y

Don't shop in the co op, Lidl just over the road is cheaper.

As soon as mine gets beyond around 70mph, it has a drink problem worthy of any AA attendee, and virtually always returns 32mpg (reality, not the trip computer) over an entire tank.  Last tank was 35.9mpg - she'd used it for work and to nip to Oxford, and clearly she is more reformed than me...

I've had 67mpg from her little diesel going to work over a 70 mile run to central Brumingham, but I was keeping it under the instant ban territory...

I set the car alert to 70mph.  :y  It gets angry and keeps flashing a dash warning and makes a bong noise if I go over the set limit. I told you, I'm fully converted now.  ;D

I'm fairly certain my car lacks such features, being old and decrepit like it's owner.  It has a speed limiter, but no alert as such.  Not that I ever exceed the speed limits, you understand, as I've paid my £95 for patronisation.

Her car has the usual road sign recognition with the associated speed limit exceeded alerts, but fortunately old enough to turn that shit off, and it stays off.  Can you imagine the swear box with her potty mouth?

So the illuminated plates along with the chavvy ghost logo puddle lights fit right in, lol

I didn't, this is all painting you in a rather different light TB  ;D.

Mine's set a bit higher than that  :-X (NB. For use on my private test track officer  ::))

I do regularly use the speed limiter for roadworks etc, mine only has standard cruise, not the radar active version found on later cars so is more of a pain to use on busy roads, hence preferring the limiter.

Lane departure is even more annoying activating every ignition cycle on newer cars, rather than being driver activated. Of course if you indicate on every lane change, then this overrides it, but when I was taught to drive, the standard was to only indicate if there was someone to indicate to, or could benefit from the knowledge that you intend to change of lane or direction. And on the cars I drive quite regularly, it's a faff to disable it everytime you jump in a car.
