Coolant - whats going on
« on: 07 February 2008, 19:46:04 »

You may recall I have coolant loss from the K series Rover, and a monumental coolant leak from the MV6.

Now, I have done nothing of consequence to fix these, other than try to investigate location/cause.

Both appear to have stopped leaking completely.

Nope.  As said, I've done nothing of consequence.

On the MV6 it could be your HBV, mine has a def leak, BUT only does it when the climate control is set below 21!

After about 10 mins it throws water everywhere, turn it to hot, or turn it off and it wont use a drop of water for thousands of miles stick it on anything below 21 and itll go through 2ltrs of water in 60 miles!!

Not sure if its also linked to my air con not working due to the 'top up' valve leaking

Just my 2p worth
