Hmm. No obvious smell of coolant, although I keep convincing myself I can smell a whiff every now and then. Loses a pint of coolant every day or two, and I can't see an obvious leak. I need to find some time to take the plenum off and have a good look with some pressure on the system. Could be leaking into the valley and evaporating, I suppose. Could even be the HBV but I'd have thought that would be obvious given the rate of leakage.

No sign of any leakage around the transmission tunnel or the end of the heater matrix that I can see...

If you have mats, then it might not be obvious on top... Also don't rule out the main radiator... :-\

Got a dead osr inner brake pad from the noises it's making when the pedal is pressed...

Bloody Tc has been working too hard ::) :-X

Job for tomorrow...

As suspected ::) 10 minutes and ten quid later, all is well in the world :)

Also had Autowrongglass turn up with a standard green top windscreen. Chap was really impressed... Having driven all the way from Eastbourne with it ;D

Only eight weeks since originally ordering it >:(

Put those pads back in until you've had your money's worth! I can still see a little friction material on them! ::)

Might be worth getting a hand under the hbv with ac on and off, before removing plenum....?

Mine was loosing coolant down to a certain level over a week. Then the level would stay at that point for months. Then the hbv failed dramatically. Changed it, and the level now stays correct. So presume the hbv was leaking slightly for some time before it failed properly. Often got a waft of coolant but from outside when engine hot.

Put a hole in the side of the petrol mower housing. Does that count?

Even though that tyre would fail an mot you can get tyres repair kits that would save that tyre at least until your next mot.p

You might find a tame tyre place to repair it (I know I could ;)) but would you trust it? I wouldn't...
