Having had a little play it seemed the logical thing to do, especially as I keep having to remove things from my 16Gb 4 and it was upgrade time ::)

You've seen the state of hers so I'll get the screen replaced and then flog them both :y

O2's best deal (for me) was to lease for 12 months at £50 + VAT (with nothing upfront) or nearly £200 upfront (each!) for a similar monthly payment to that offered by 3 on an upgrade ::) Then I had a little chat with my Brother in Law (who used to be an O2 Fanboy) and he said that 3 offered better service everywhere around here as far as he was concerned and had switched :y

Got to go out tomorrow and get a couple of decent cases and screen protectors (before she's allowed loose with hers!) then it's just getting hold of the new style leads as it seems Apple have added a chip to them to prevent cheap copies from working ::)

3 offers a universal shite service. Oddly enough it works in my town. Or some of it anyway. Unlike Vodafoney.

What is monthly cost though. Not that I am the slightest bit interested in going with 3 for signal reasons. TBH, not even interested in getting a new phone either ;D

I've got a mate who swears by three, but then again he's never tried any others!! Far as I see he uses most of his minutes on the phone to 3 trying to sort his problems out with some lad from india who can never help!!!

Ages ago. Then T-Mobile IIRC. Now nobody. Hence fairly universally poor.

Having suffered Vodafoney for about 5 years, and their poor coverage, I'll happily pay a bit more for a O2 based network, even if O2's 3G coverage is a bit naff. At least I always have a signal for making calls and sending texts. Except between Jnc 9 and 8 on the M40 ;D

TBH, there are very few places in the country where I can get an O2 signal and not one on 3 ;) And when you do have a 3 signal it's a 3G one, even in Brakkers ;)

As for monthly cost... Not cheap, but cheaper than the lease deal, but is truly unlimited data including tethering :y And more minutes and texts than I will have to use :y

I pretty much universally get a better signal on my '3' powered iPad than my O2 or Voda iPhones (one personal, one work) - but I always put that down to the size of the antenna..

Took delivery of my 64Gb 5 yesterday and, so far, I rather like it.

Been on the THREE network myself for about 18 months not had any major problems (and thats in wales) before was on Orange couldnt get away from them quick enough... But i would like to try EE's 4G when available..  isn't THREE going to piggy back off EE's 4G signal or have i heard wrong but this would be more appealing if true ?

I like the iPhone 5 hardware, but iOS 6 has some issues for me. Don't like the new App store layout, been giving Android a serious go, really liking it so far.
