This kind of Airmatic issue is exactly my worry if I went for something like a CLS 320, looking down the barrel of a very large bill!

True, I pass a parked 09 Plate E-Class Estate on the way to work every day. It's black, has the Sport pack I think looking at twin exit and alloys.

I'd look for the 7 seater version of that, could prove useful.

Heart Says - CLS for looks/style.

Dad Mode - E Class Estate

Airmatic only standard on CLS 500/550.

CLS 320 should have conventional suspension unless upgraded. :y

Lot of the forums suggest AirMatic is the way to go for ride comfort. Would have to try both  :-\

Dad Mode - E Class Estate

Sensible head - something with a decent chassis, which rules out MB

Fixed!

Nothing special in my opinion.

Quite harsh and crashy over road imperfections.

Perhaps in 'sport' on mine .... how sporty can 2.3 tonnes be? ...... when I'd agree, you can feel every crisp packet on the road, but in 'comfort' it's like a 50's Yank Tank and wallows along the road which I like  :)

Got it back today. It was a valve/distribution block. It 'only' cost half the original guestimate  ::) ::)

The service lad's face was a picture when I went back in to ask for someone armed with a battery pack!  ::) I'd guess that repeated starts, with lights on and not going anywhere flattened it.

.....so you still have a large bill to look forward to in the near future then. ::) ::) :)

Sounds very familiar with A6 Allroads, the C5 variety.
The repair kit for the compressors is made by a chap on their forum that goes by the moniker of 'bagpipingandy'

Since the last post here, ...... I sent the service manager pictures of it leaning though and then took it back. They looked & couldn't find a fault so I brought it back home. The following morning it was leaning/kneeling, sent them more pictures & took it back. They had it for a further 10 days without finding a fault and I went in yesterday to tell them I thought know they were bull shitting me & there HAD to be a leak and STAR (their TechII) wouldn't find & they might have to get off their arses to find it.
Went this morning to collect my car and the first car I saw was mine ...... leaning

Set off passed it to go to reception & immediately saw  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

as you might have guessed I wasn't a happy bunny. Their complete apathy was unbelievable! Of course nobody knew anything about it, but their 'bodyshop is coming over tomorrow to give a quote' .............. I couldn't give a flying f*** how much the quote is!  ???
