Just spotted the problem.. This young lad has proved his worth in junior formulas, out qualified his team mate all 36 times.

No the problem is he is British! If he goes on to win seven championships the nay sayers would be saying, car, luck  etc.

He is an extremely promising star of the future.
For my money, if they were all driving identical cars the order would usually be Hamilton, Riciardo, Verstappen ( if he doesnt make a silly mistake and end up in the wall), then probably Russell. After that, its difficult to tell. They seem much of a muchness to me.

That's for your money, other folk think differently. 

Dont mind folk thinking differently, as long as its from an informed viewpoint.

The only way we could ever prove the fact that Hamilton wins because he drives a merc is to put him in something else, or to put Russell in Hamilton's merc and Hamilton in Bottas's merc, and that ain't gonna happen.
Until then, my point of view is every bit as valid as yours

Like a McClaren ? Where he won 21 Grand Prix, and hardly anyone else has won a race in one since the days of Hakkinen & Kimi.

Yes, and it wasnt a very competitive car. Particularly against the Newey designed Red bull, which was untouchable. Hence Vettels four titles during that time. 
There was also the year where the Brawn with its blown diffuser was in a different league to everything else. To the point where the mediocre button, won the title without breaking a sweat.
