Self scanning is robbing people of jobs and helping the greedy owners. Besides it is also taking away human contact from a large section of the community who look forward to a little chat, some people don’t have that opportunity. Seems to me it won’t be long before there are no tills left unless they are used.

Always pop into our local Sainsbury's early on a Saturday morning for a paper & minor items always self scan in & out in a matter of minutes brilliant idea .

Yeh, it’s fine with a basket full of items but not for a trolley full (not enough room on the scanned items platform) of items, or tagged items.  :y
My Mrs buys clothes for the toddler grandchildren (tagged), baby formula for grandchild is tagged and Glenfiddich is tagged. Sadly, an assistant is required for tagged items.   :)

Spent another 8 hours at the Hospital last night. It seems they forgot to prescribe me blood pressure tablets when they sent me home on Thursday so when it got to 195/115 I went back.
Eventually got given a couple of tablets and a prescription for some more. They didnt have the ones on prescription in stock on the ward and the pharmacy isnt open at 3am, so have to do the 26 mile return journey again today to pick them up.
While I was sat waiting in the early hours of this morning the bloke sat beside me said he was pissed off being there as its his brithday today.
I said "snap". what are the chances ?
The journey home in the little C1 at 3am took 16 minutes, which I was quite impressed with.  :)

………….

They put me on Ramipril for life when I was running some seriously high blood pressure readings, which keep me buzzing around 154/89, so I’m classed as hypertension. If I drink an absolute ton of water (at least 2 litres a day) I can reduce my readings down to around 138 Systolic and 76 Diastolic. Still not great but it just goes to show that hydration plays a big part of blood pressure.  :y

Anyway, Happy Birthday Albs.

Having a perfectly good tooth extracted because it had cracked all the way to the roots. Painful as f*uck. :-X

I'm now told that not all of the tooth could be removed, so I have to have an operation to get the remains yanked out. :-\

Ooh, nasty. Taking 600mg painkillers every 4 hours helps but you’ve then got to suffer the anxiety of waiting for the operation, by which time the original ’tooth out issue’  would have started to heal over.  You’ll go in for the op, have a local anaesthetic, the incision will be made and then the long nose pliers come out. You’ll feel as if your jaw is being removed by all of the tugging.  ;D  Then it’s back to the 600mg painkillers every 4 hours.
Hope that helps.  ;D   ;D

I'm on ramipril and my bp sits around 150/155 over 75/80. Doctor said I might get it down further if I stopped eating pies/curries/chips/battered fish/cakes/biscuits/etc.
Nah  ;D

If I drink 2 litres of water a day I will piss myself every hour, on the hour  ;D

When I was in hospital they made me drink water regularly to control my blood pressure. I asked them to line up the piss bottles 5 at a time, and I’d get anxious when the full bottles weren’t replenished.  I had just one foot of movement due to pipes in my neck so I worked out that I could piss in the same bottle 3 times if I kept it at the right angle before it overflowed.  ;D

Fentanyl seems to be pretty effective if you don't care what you look like afterwards.

Fentanyl will put you in your box pretty effectively!  :)

Which would also be an effective cure for a toothache.  ::)   ;D
