Apparently, the woman who does the flu jabs broke her arm a week or 2 back and is signed off.  Obviously, they felt the need to continually spam me with reminders not to forget the appointment, but never thought to tell me that they weren't going to be able to do it.  Or even just cancel the appointment so I could rebook.

Obviously the useless idiot, for the sake of anomality lets just call him Choccie, had just dropped a bollock and forgotten to get anyone in.  Useless idiot.

We both got a text today offering us flu & covid jabs at the surgery on Saturday morning, our daughter had covid again last week, so we're going to take up the offer, we would both like to see a few more years yet , back to Spain soon for a couple of weeks hopefully the carport will have been completed then that's it all finished, feet up relaxing time.🍺🍺🍺

Two sets of three way temporary traffic lights that have been set up for the last few weeks, but absolutely nothing is going on. No holes dug, no mud disturbed, no super fast networks going in, nothing, zilch nada. The traffic lights appeared when the roads around us were badly flooded so we thought it was because of that but no, they are still there with not one single human having ever been spotted at any time of day or night. 
Somebody was so fed up with them that they turned the traffic lights so that they faced the hedge and the traffic progressed as normal. It took whoever is in charge of them 3 days to notice and turn them the right way again.

Similar on the A61 between Barnsley and Wakefield a few weeks back. They were there for two days and, when I passed on the third day, they had been thrown into the hedge at the side of the road 
Obviously done by someone sitting looking at a red light in the middle of the night.

I rarely use Amazon .... pi55es me off having to decline Amazon Prime every time you buy anything .... but never had a problem with them holding (one of  ) my credit card details for when/if I do buy owt!

The thing that really gripped my piss was that they claim to require it for verification purposes. Verification of what exactly?

You have to provide a valid email address to create an account to use the gift card. You add the gift card to the account and it confirms the amount on the card. And the delivery address has to be a legitimate address for the item to be dispatched

So the only thing that they might be wanting to verify is data or to run a credit check. Neither of which are relevant to the transaction.
