It is a beautiful car, but........coming back on the M62 the other day, virtually every other car was a beemer. Lost their exclusivity. :-/

These are the dials you want tunnie, and do not buy from a bmw dealer, they'll over charge you for something you can get for much less.

Yup, twisty dials, not great really. Think the Omega dash is better, it was nice, don't get me wrong, but can't justify £10-15k  :-/

Its going to be tight enough as it is when i take on a house  :'(

Tunnie if you have the cash spend it now, after you got more responsibilites and a minister in the house say bye bye to beamers.. ;D :y

If i spend it now, can't get a house for another couple of years, i'll be 26 this year, need to get paying into a mortgage soon

You're right Cem. An old timer looks silly in a sporty car, although a 7 series would be fine.
And as for a 50 odd year old woman in an open top car, well.........

Thing is i want to push to become a streaming engineer, that would be a mon-fri job not 3 days on 3 days off i do now, so would need to be closer.

Thanks to the forum the Omega is cheap as chips to run, even if the HG blows, not an issue. If i got a house i would use the train to get to work (fixed costs)

Omega does everything i want it to do, even if it costs me £100 to maintain every month, still quids in. £10k loan still going to be what £300 a month for 3 years? Be cheaper to run the 2.2 ....

But i know what you mean, buy something newish now which won't need much work done for good few years  :-/

the fact is when the years are gone and the candles on your birthday cake are too many , you will be happy for the things you have done and regret for the things you didnt.. so do it ;D :y

Often go to our local AvailableCar centre in Castle Donington for a poke around the cars they have......

Went up there a couple of weeks ago and came across an X3 so had a sit in and look around it......

BLOODY HORRIBLE.......

Interior felt cheap, looked cheap and far too much hard plastic in there for the type of car it pretends to be....

Hated it and dont envy anyone driving them........

X3 is not made by BWM i seem to recall, X5 is. Not a fan either, don't see the point in either. They are sh!t off-road, if you want something thats comfy and good off-road get a Range Rover. If you want a beemer, get a 5 Series....
