Forgot to mention, re-seated the tubes at the back of the plenum, clicked the eco strip home by the last couple of mm.

Running like a dream now (nearly as quick as my old 2.2) ;D

To flush or not to flush?

2nd oil change after 200 miles was as black as the ace of spades.

What do you recon?

Yes, I don't like flushing engines.

Recon it would be a good idea to take the sump off, and give it a good clean out?

Seems to be a bit of a trend of it at the mo....shouldnt hurt and you know that pickup pipe is clear.

Im thinking some oil changes till you get a few thousand miles between changes, then clear out the rest of the crap manually may be an idea  :-/

Working again today.

Is it because I've been spraying the lock mechanism with liberal amounts of silicone lubricant?

Time will tell.

erm, 1 that springs to mind is open the bleed nipple before pushing the caliper back in, gets rid of more old fluid, and reduces risk of inverting the master cylinder.  :y
