Tried to sort out the lumpy idleing Well i cleared the TH out as it was abit dirty

Did you remove the throttle body itself? So you could clean under neath of the throttle housing?

Cam cover gasket change, clean it all up and coil pack itself should be fine. Get a genuine gasket if you can, still worth extra in my view on those.

Yeah got the housing completly out removed from car and 2 tins used nice and shiny again so you are saying doing cam gaskets and cleaning up coil pack should sort it out :y  :y :y
Yes, but follow the 2.2 breather guide whilst you're in there ;)

Fitted a new pair of droplinks. Hasn't cured the front end knock though. I'm thinking dampers or top mounts now.  :-\

I used lasers!

And more lasers!

And lots of trigonometry and measuring contraptions!

;D

Set the front & rear geometry, fitted front calipers, rear handbrake mechanism, cables, calipers, battery cable, and then discovered I have the wrong rear flexi lines for my (X300) calipers so that needs changing.

But mostly lasers.

Are the balljoint holes round and the bolts tight?

Found out why the aircon refrigerant keeps leaking away ....  :(  Pipes that go into the filter/dryer, large one has a crack all around the flange such that the flange is very nearly off.. :(

Looks to me like a new pipe is needed but where the other end is I have no idea !! and probably no way of changing it .. :(  So looks like I no longer have air con .. shame .....   I like my air con .... :(

EDIT :

A wander through the EPC and I'm even more confused !!  So many pipes and so hard to work out which ones are which ...  :(

It can only go to the compressor or the bulkhead. Unfortunately for you, the bulkhead means buried at the back of the 246 head :-\

They were when fitted, but got to be worth checking. Cheers.  :y

Looks like it follows a somewhat convoluted path to the compressor, and if memory serves .. it is attached to the other pipe at the compressor by a large alloy block that forms the seal ... so probably beyond my capabilities ...  :(

Went out this afternoon determined to finally finish the welding on the 190. Started off really well and then ran out of wire when I had about 4 inches of welding left to do.  >:( :'( ::)
25 mile round trip tomorrow to get a reel of wire and weather permitting, get the job finished.

As I'm naturally distrusting of the vast majority of A/C "specialists", I'd give Serek a call, and have a nice day out in Huntingdon
