Re-done the rear wheel bearing and while I was there I refurbed the adjuster bars in rear suspension (can't remember what they really are called in english  :P ). Almost done now, still have the headlight adjusters to sort and then my car will be better than it was when it left Rüsselheim  :D

Today I've refitted headlights, repaired wiring to both horns, refitted bumper and associated trim.

Now laying in bath trying to get my body temp back up...

Removed the power sounder. Constant siren every 30 seconds after start up. Removed it. Still constant siren every 30 seconds. I know it has its own battery but this always amuses me. Wrapped it in a towel and shut it in a box in cupboard at the back of the garage, just like the last one. ;D

It's probably still bleating away now. ;D

Which reminds me. I did notice a melted area in the frost on the windscreen last week. But it was right above where the harmon uphill Kardon screen sits on the dash, so I assumed it was residual heat from that. Seemed to far up the screen to be ps causing it.... :-\

I've thrown it at a garage to do a head skim and replace the head gasket, fit new head bolts etc. Seriously considering getting rid of it now.

Got in just before 6pm, nice little package from Jimbob on the mat.

Soooo, couldn't put it off longer.  Bumper off, headlights out, break me its cold - bumper sprang against my finger, so cold, it hurt like hell.  Spent about 10m investigating the other failure item, hmmm, need to scrath my bonce on that, are review the schematics again.

Bring the headlights inside to the warm, remove all the 'furniture' on the headlights, pop 'em in the oven, strip them down, replace the adjusters, rebuild.  Will refit tomorrow I think, if I get home at a sensible time.

Job I wasn't looking forward too, not so bad once you get stuck in.

Er yeah if you don't mind Kev.  :) Although I better cut the old one open first to see if the circuit board is damaged...?
