Sounds like you may as well do stat and oil cooler cover plate while your in there. Check coolant bridge etc...

Yep - actually I have all the parts to do the 'stat change (bought a while back from AndyC), and the oil cooler cover plate should just be a case of re-sealing it if it's leaking, right? (With the 'other' goo, rather than camcover goo)

Worth having a set of new bolts and washers for the coolant bridge to hand. :y

All ordered from AndyC today - HBV, banjo bolts & washers, grey goo for oil cooler, black goo (reckon my tube is well past it's sell by date and I may as well do the cam cover gaskets while I'm in there) and a couple of oil filters for good measure.

Now.. here's hoping it's a bit less parky next weekend!

although the models here dont have powersounder, I remember from OOF threads its a problem device which can start fires.. and some members get rid of it..  :-\

No worries - let me know. I'll be about all weekend anyway as this weekend's job is to find my coolant leak. Come to think of it.. a second pair of eyes would be great for that ;)

Picked up the DTi from the garage, new Pulley, new tensioner and thankfully not much labour as we did the dismantling on Friday night!

Amazing how much smoother it feels now the tensioner is doing it's job and the pulley is in one peice!

Just got to sort Mrs VXL's estate out now... parts on order, cracks getting bigger... will it last until the weekend???  ::)
