Don't think I'm well enough to do anything. Bummer, as the MV6 discs are in a right state  :-[

You as well eh? What have you and Chris been up to together!
he's been bumping uglies with some bird from behind. ;D

Ohh that kind of not well! Not the bubonic plague that you've got, then ;)

It was the Biohazard sign that worried me the most! ;D Glad to hear Mrs G is feeling better, at least.

Work on Big Blue :

New GM disks and pads - old mintex and apec....loads of life left, but juddery as hell.
oil and filter change
tighten gearbox selector linkage
unblock scuttle, and new pollen filter.

Also tech2'd the servotronic a few days ago from medium (default) assistance, to the minimum.....much improved handling.

Fitted a pair of facelift rear lights as one of the originals was quite badly cracked.
Took the car for it's first real drive since it was mothballed 2 years ago. 70 mile round trip with no fuss and she performed very well, giving a nice smooth and comfy drive.

I did note a niggle or two though  - Indicators do not self cancel from a left turn, steering wheel slightly off centre, aircon needs a re-gas and drivers heated seat pad not working.

Thanks Jimbob!  Adjusting the servotronic has changed the feel of the whole car, was pleasantly surprised, she feels a lot more solid on the road and a lot less skittish. :y

New boots soon and she'll be spot on! :-*

Thought I would take my mind of the alarm going off again this morning at 4.am  >:( >:(. Not much left to detatch or turn off to find the fault. I might end up getting alarm codes read at vauxhall or disable the damn thing.  :-\ So I thought I would tackle replacing the cam sensor, cam cover gaskets and clean out the oil breather. All appears to have gone well. that's to say the car started after the fix  :).Slight drip still under car but I'm hoping its the remains of what is already on the block, fingers crossed. I was amazed how much oil was in the spark plug holes and the gallery along the top and that the car was still functioning. All shiney now and thanks for the helpful tuts.  :) :)

Might get away with a new stalk - easy enough to whip stalk out and check that the cancel mech on the stalk works.

I'd recommend a ful geo check to fix steering wheel, must be done by a place who know what they are doing.

Aircon, specialist job, hopefully just regas.

Seat - doable, by quite fiddly and time consuming. Once stripped, you can normally see where the fault is, and repair.  If cloth, the heater pads are actually seperate.
