Had the Air Con Re-Gassed... Nice and cold now :y :y
Briefly. You know you're wasting money, and you need to sort it ;)

But at least it'll be cold for the summer ;) Held the Vacuum for 10 minutes anyway ;)

Transit and Freelander over last two days .
Transit , new front pads and rear shoes ,handbrake cable ,inner steering tie rods ,outer track rod ends ,ARB drop links ,NS wheel bearing   :'( and rear wishbone bushes ..................
Freelander replaced 8 month old Eternal exhaust center section with genuine LR item after it split all around silencer  >:( and reconned wiper linkage .
I've had to replace five items on the Freelander that were less than a year old in the last couple of months and write off the costs as it was uneconomical to return them to seller. >:(

Washed it, claybar'd it (to get the winter grime off it), dried it, polished it.
Annual scuttle clean.

At the risk of a royal caning, what's claybarring? I have a gay friend who may answer it, but I'm afearred to ask...... :-[

I've yet to find anyone in and around this area who I would trust/recommend to re-gas my air con.

Replaced the broken catch on the glove box ..... not a difficult job but how many screws ????  I think the designer had shares in a screw company !!

Also replaced the broken centre arm rest.... piece of doddle ...

So........ something large, heavy, and in constant use is held together by 2 screws and  a couple of plastic clips...... something light and not often used requires the removal of 3 pieces of trim, 23 screws, 2 hinge pins, a stupid circlip and a metal shield that seems to have no purpose whatsoever !!

Strange .......   :)

Fortunately the garage that does my MOTs (who we've used for many years) also does AC charging at the right price :y
