Yesterday I refitted the interior and the Elite leather, everything except the dash was removed, cleaned, polished and replaced. Smells like a tarts handbag now ;D

Just updating on post last week have now bitten the bullet and had cam belt done £270, service £100, 1 tyre £130 (could have got it cheaper elsewhere but let dealer do it as trade off on service) giving me MOT (fog light sorted prior to retest). Hope I can dodge problems til this time next year.

took out the rad, plastic welded a small crack in side tank, degunked the engine, put it back together (success, no more leaking antifreeze))  oil and filter change gave it a wash, took it for MOT which it sailed through yet again ;D ;D ;D. oh, and put petrol in it :( :( :( :(.

Changed front & rear pads.N/s rear caliper has a sticky piston, which made it a bit of a chore and now there is a burning smell from the area,so will have to swap the caliper for another in the near future.

Furry vinyl arrived today 8)

So had a little play...

Door trims look promising, but not entirely convinced by the dash panels :-\

Alcantara :y door trims have worked well, but dash could use a rethink :-\

Not being an upholsterer, it's a fair effort, but the dash panels aren't quite as neat as they perhaps should be..too many curves ::)

Picked up the M3 from CPC Performance Engineering in Amersham. £320 lighter but at least the gearbox works again (and better than before, I think)!

Very pleased, really! The replacement sensor was £50 for a secondhand low mileage sensor from a car that suffered SMG pump failure, vs. nearly £300 for the sensor alone from BMW..
