Transported three frogs from an ornamental pond in my garden to a school pond in Woburn.

Removed the bones on the Elite, replaced the shot rear bushes, (pressed in for £0 by my friendly local garage :)), refitted one, and ran out of time before dinner, fitting the pax side tomorrow.
Now for a nice 16 yr old malt. ::) ::) ::)

Fitted two new rear springs as the Elite failed the M.o.T.on a broken o/s one,so bought and fitted a new pair.This was my first time of having to replace springs on any car I've ever owned.Following the guide on here it took me a shade over 2hrs with the car supported on axle stands.The total time for the job also included a pause for a coffee and fag and a "comfort"break.Also some time was spent when re-assembling things to consult the Haynes manual as neither I nor my torque wrench are young enough to speak Nm so needed the lbs/ft value.But at least now car is once again M.o.T.'d.

Absolutely nothing. I've a fortnight off and have no interest whatsoever on doing anything to my car.

I have machined a backing plate for my lathe collet chuck, made a carriage stop, made a couple of adapters to fit the Dickson QCTP and adjusted the tangs of my MT2 tooling so they self-eject from the tailstock. I've only had the machine 8months, but now I can swap tooling easily and part-off effectively. After that I swept up 2 carrier bags of swarf and had a beer.

Got four Dunlop Sport Maxx RT's fitted to refurbished alloys and put them on the 3.2 and as a temporary measure to get the 2.6 (hopefully) through it's MOT it's now sitting on the 3.2's previous alloys with Continental SC3's.

Such fun changing 8 wheels in the rain.  ::) ;D
