Car is four years old, with original discs which should have been changed at the last pad change :-\

Tried and failed to change the rear discs on next doors Octavia :-[

Stupid eejits at the factory must have welded the caliper carrier bolts in, so even on ramps, you can't get enough leverage to undo them with a two ft breaker bar >:( not that there's room to actually use a breaker bar on them in the first place :-X

I can only assume the hubs are completely built up before fitting to the rest of the suspension :-\

Thats cus if its the same as the other Vags, just idiot the disc and it slithers out round the caliper carrier.

Being a VRS with larger diameter discs, there isn't the room to do it... also discs are welded to the hub, and without the carrier removed, there's no wacking room :'(

Washed the 2.6 as it did 986 miles last week (including an install at a new development that can only be described as still a building site) so it was a little dirty!

Repaired two door looms on the Alhambra, now have speaker in drivers door and n/s rear window working.  :y

I reckon front polly's is the best mod to do on an Omega, followed closely by stiffer springs and better shocks.

No need to remove wishbones to fit polys though. Half hour a side. Just make sure the jig saw blade is sharp. ::) ;D

bought a 710N diverter valve for clit and replaced the 710P.. holds the boost a bit more, before it opens..

Did the cam cover seal on the drivers side (135), 6 new plugs and breathers to do tomorrow with an oil change and air filter change as I have a Scotland trip next week.

2 new tyres on my van I just got after the MoT yesterday and the tracking on that as well
