Put the wheel back on the bus, then abandoned it in a carpark.

Picked up the Bullet ready for a trip to Londonium tomorrow.
Didn't fancy the train then... ::)
No I bloody didn't. And now they've reopened the Banbury to Leamington section, it'll be back to late, overcrowded trains that cost almost £70 to do a 100 mile round trip. Standing, obviously.
Puts the cost of the sleeper from Plymouth to London into perspective - £55 single + £35 for the bunk for 250 miles including breakfast and a bar. Doesn't stop at Banbury though  ::)
I'm not sure why anyone would want to.

Left Samadet in SW France at 08:00, arrived at Calais at  18:05, 18:40 ferry was 30mins late(we were booked on the 20:00 so were still early) arrived home at 20:30.

Approximately 700 miles in proper comfort; one of the many reasons I like this car so much.

2.6 lived up to it's reputation of.....

IF weather=rain AND day=Monday AND tomorrows journey is over 500 miles THEN develop a fault

Todays was the heater blower fan dying, luckily it turned out to be the hedgehog which is strange as the scuttle is kept clear and there's no signs it's ever had a dousing. Anyway, tis all back together and working after getting soaked swapping it over on the driveway in the dark.  :'(

Did mine couple of week ago. Working one minute. Dead the next. I thought it would be a total mare with no fan, but the heat radiates out the vents quite nicely without it.

Although luckily the weather didn't demand the demist function.

Took it to the local garage (at 5 am) and posted the key through the letter box.

Walked home, fed the baby then drove SWMBO's Golf to work. At 11am I got a text from SWMBO to say the Omega was back on the drive with a new MOT :y can't praise my local garage enough for being helpful  :y :y

One advisory - "001 oil leak". I assume it is the one from the rusty patch in the middle of the oil pan. :-\ but I need to check whether the autobox is weeping after I refilled it.

No response to my wanted Ad for an oil pan :( I suppose I will have to start stalking anyone who is stripping a V6 ::)
