Oil & filter changed, plus cooling system drained & flushed replenished with genuine GM fluids. Only covered 4,000 miles in the last 12 months but like to look after the old girl  😀 😀 😀

3.0i V6 24V Elite 4d Auto 0-60 9.0 secs Top Speed 148 mph
3.2  V6 24V Elite 4d Auto 0-60 8.0 secs Top Speed 149 mph
GM's figures on 3.0 are particularly conservative.

The 3.0 is quicker and more economical than the 3.2

So how come mine, keeps up with yours which is chipped. No problem at all? As does Kevin's actually iirc
Because in TB land, the mfl car can do no wrong, inspite of it's incontinence/rot/general verge of being scrappedness... ::)

It's like KITT, only silver with four doors ;D

Because I own both, and have ragged the nads off both on several occasions. I know which is quicker, and I know which is more economical.  I also can prove the economy, as I've been anal and recorded it for several years.

And that is all despite one being less than 100k miles, and the other well over double that.

The 3.2 is too heavily compromised by cost v emissions. Which is a shame, as it could have been a much better engine.

No argument from me on economy. Bothered? That's what gas is for. As you know obviously.

But the performance? I don't buy it. Personally. Having followed you as you know. And yours is chipped.

Trust me, I own both. I know what they are capable of.

I don't ever recall setting my car, any of them, against any member's Omega, including yours  :-\

Yet the 3.2 is significantly worse on fuel, for no gain in performance :(

I've owned both... The 3.2 is significantly quicker than the 3.0, especially in mid range.  That said, my second 3.0 was quicker than my third, but the 3.2 was the quickest.

Just like any other car, you get good ones and bad ones.  Prehaps my 3.0 was a dog, or prehaps my 3.2 was a good 'un?  It was black afterall!

You can't compare two old cars side by side....... they have been treated differently over their ownership, and it must play a part in how they perform.

With most Elites being Auto, it's pointless sticking them on a rolling road.  The only way to tell is to have a good old fashioned traffic light run.  Let me know when it happens..... I'll stick mine in Winter Mode just to give you a chance!  :-X
