If I could graft the hidden door pockets and the interesting double lift up armrest (which serves as a small table for rear passengers, have you ever noticed this?) into my PFL,  then I would. Nice touches.

Overall I'm a PFL boy. Also, it's easier to retrofit the little niceties from a FL onto a PFL, than the other way round. (front end, door cards, center console, rewire the drivers door, new back wings/tail lamps, bootlid etc and so on.. )

Anyway, what have I done today? Went over one of the spare doors with some fine abrasive to remove imperfections in the paint. It's a still a little too orange peely for my liking, but at least the lumps, 'acne' and run have (almost) gone now. Missus cleaned the door card with AutoGylm's finest, and by christ it looks like ruddy new. Doesn't look like a 20 year old lump of plastic and leather.  Just need the rest of the car to match, now!  :D

Agreed, I much prefer the console on my MFL to the FL. However I took the 3.2 out today to get it dirty and have some fun. It always puts a smile on my face. :y

:y I've owned a FL, and it had plenty of advantages. At the end of the day the FL was done for a reason, to make the Omega more updated. By 2000 every car going had had its black plastic in bodycolour, and squarer, more angular lines were in. Personally I think the FLs doorcards look fresh and very modern even now. Less so for the bonnet, like Sarah Jessica Parkers nose, it is!  :y But yes, I'll stick to my PFL... foreverrr!!!  :D

So... as of last night took off the NSF door and wing, and replaced. With hurdle after hurdle. Panel gaps that an Allegro would snigger at, everything needs to be off and re-jigged and put back on properly again - but she's in one piece ready for our hollibobs tomorrow. (same thing happened almost a year ago, in getting her from SORNed to MoTd for a holiday, too, actually!) All part of the story.

:y I'll have to check but think Pissy did that in her second or third year on the road!

Opened the door to take delivery of my wishbones etc.
Next step is to see if I have some suitable size tube to easily remove the front bushes for my polys.

56.7mm bore according to my calipers. Then before I could root through my stash of stock I had to leave to ring some actual bells!
