Weekend in the pub then... Every cloud and all that ::)

Pub doesn't do food, and occasionally even beer is too much trouble. :(

Changing your pub before your water pump would be a sensible use of Sunday ;D

What Godforsaken place have you found yourself in? Would have thought both would have been the least a pub could muster... Even if the beer is warm and the food is pork scratchings ::)

Today I will be mostly dropping the oil in the gearbox and diff.... readying it for another season of towing our tintent round the country.... will also be changing the cam cover gaskets sometime over the next week or so as the NS has developed a slight weep.... and the breathers will get a good seeing to also....

After ringing drove over the bridge to STS to have the alignment done.

As it had new wishbones and trackrods I knew it was miles out; fidgety with nasty bump steer and the steering wheel wasn't centered. 25minutes and £50 later it now steers and drives properly again. At some point I'll consider reducing the front cambers by 20' to bring them into line with the suggested spec, but it's been like that for the last four years without any issues so I  doubt I'll bother.

Removed and cleaned up the otherwise inaccessible side of the rear wheels on the Bullet, ready for new tyres Wed lunchtime.

Swapped the inboard and outboard NSR pads whilst there, as it eats the outboard one for breakfast. MOTer was right, the disc shield is quite corroded ;D

Moved the 190LE under its own power for the first time in nearly three years... then spent a happy hour stripping the rear brakes.
It hasn't seen the road for six years and it all came apart without too many contributions to the swear jar.
I just know its waiting to bite me in the arse!

Drove it almost to Bridport, before the water pump pulley made a bid for freedom. >:(
That won't end well :o

The Omega or the go-kart :-\
The Omega. Water pump seal has failed too. Not sure of the sequence of events, but 2 pump pulley bolts have disappeared, and one has sheared off. Guessing 2 worked loose and fell off, then the final one eventually gave way. Pump shaft feels fine, so thinking there might have been some local coolant boiling after the failure that did for the seal. It got shut down as soon as I felt the PAS go, then coasted into a side road and Green Flag. ::)

Have bicycle, so motor factors on Monday morning. Hope it stops ssipping down. :(

Phoned motor factors at 8:30. Man in van with parts arrived at 10 to 9. :o

Maybe the motor factors should take on the management of the pub  ;)
