The problem's lots of us are finding now is so many dealers are no longer TC members, and the distance to a registered one is a bit far, and they won't deliver. Think our nearest is Kettering.
Oh, I know, as I said earlier, Vauxhall and its dealers are going out of their way to ensure that people don't want to buy Vauxhall.

My nearest TC dealer is at least 40 miles away. I just ensure that I pick stuff up when I'm passing. Additionally, like many dealer networks, I can order over the phone at one branch, and collect at their nearest branch a couple of days later.

Collected my sister, then went to ring at the Cathedral.

Drove to Rush Green, where we spent the afternoon  with some friends and their toys:

Went to the pub where Deb bought me a birthday beer, and drove home because she's borrowing the Omega while I service and MOT her car.

It was a good day!

I've got a soft spot for the Chipmunk, having spent many hours in one during my cadet years including lots of aerobatics. Also have some 35 hours on Cessna 150/152 logged too :y

I spent 45 minutes yesterday changing the filters, oil and plugs on my sister's car yesterday. Nothing fell off when I drove it around the block, so I parked it outside the garage for the MOT today. Which it failed because the screenwash pump had seized.

So, £30 later I had acquired and fitted a new one. It took longer to stitch the damaged wheelarch liner back together than it did to do the rest of the job:

So that's another job out of the way for a year.

Just out of interest, why should the Cub in the earlier photo be yellow?
