Refitted scuttle panel & wipers. sealing scuttle (hopefully) in the process.
During this weeks work I have lost a wiper cap and plenum cap  ::) Which means I have to root through the boxes of spares in the hope of finding replacements.

Just remove the others. Problem solved. For ever.

That would keep me awake at night. Im a bit lad like that.  ;D

Changed my crank sensor at the roadside after my Omega died 200 yards from my house.

Nothing. Rain stopped play before it started.  :(
Instead I assembled my new MIG welder.  :).......and had a quick attempt at welding two pieces of metal together.  :-X :(    ;D
Then - quite a bit of DIY.  >:( >:(

Mrs. KW complained that the garage door remote won't work. Went and played about with the motor. Appears to be FUBAR. >:(

Put Mrs. KW's car away the manual way. Heard a big BANG from the garage shortly afterwards. :o

Went inside to find a massive section of spring had shot out of the housing above the door, impacted the wall and fallen to the floor, thankfully missing Mrs. KW's new (to her) car.  :o

Got a quote for a roller shutter door. :y

Got mine from rollerdor.net last week - delivery took about two weeks and the cost was ~£800 delivered for a 2.9m wide door.  Fitting really, really needs more than two people, don't believe what the manual says (me and my Dad just about killed ourselves trying to lift a 2.9m wide curtain up and over the motor barrel  :-X ;D) but other than that it was an easy DIY fit.

Just FWIW, I'm sure you've already done your research  :y

[edit] forgot to say that was for a 'wood effect' finish, a plain solid colour would have been ~£170 cheaper.

Speaking of garage doors.. fitting the roller door let me lift the body off the Cobra and suspend it from the ceiling (with 'goalpost' to take the main weight) so I can fit the brake lines and main battery cable (just as soon as I finish cleaning waxoyl off it .. why did I waxoyl the chassis, whyyy!)

Like this:

And then we moved the old sectional garage door to the other garage (which lacked a door at all and just had sheets of industrial steel over the hole):

Also did some rearranging, moved the lathes around, that kind of thing, to get the BMW in.

I've fitted a roller door before and am aware what a hernia-inducing experience it can be. Even then, I managed to knacker the motor somehow. ::) I will probably be wimping out and getting it fitted, I think.  ;)

but.. progress on the snake! :y :y :y

Don't forget to fit the drivetrain before you drop the body back on...
