Rear shocks have just been delivered. Several days earlier than ebay listing suggested. opened the box to check contents and pleased to see all fixtures & fittings included. A bargain for just under £70 the pair delivered. Got to leave for work in half an hour, but got 4 days off from tomorrow morning so plenty of Mig fettling over the weekend.
Will that be it then? Nothing else to do?

Still got a long to do list, but most of them are minor details that aren't urgent. Cambelt and engine service are now due. Only other time consuming job is to improve the paint work one panel at a time, if I ever get around to it.
Also need to do the cambelt on the C---. Not looking forward to that one, as there is no room whatsoever to do the job. Have to keep lifting the engine up / down and pulling it forward then push it back to get access to the necessary bits.
That's the Frogs for ya.

Charged all 3 cars again.
Given the amount of time they spend plugged in, you may as well go all electric...  ::)
Probably being over cautious, but work on the principle that most cars will hit the battery hard after 4-6 weeks of non use, and that long term partial discharges permanently damage the battery, so try to charge every unused car every 2 weeks or so (maybe 3 weeks on the Battlebus, as I normally have to look for it).

Both of us are WFH, so during the currently period, the Zaf is allowed on the drive, and the Pussy gets no use either, so may as well charge them when its dry.

TBE is only doing short Tesco runs currently, so also keeping that topped up, although it does do the occasional mercy run, and that will be going back to 1k oil changes, until this sniffle panic blows over.

Removed old rear shocks. Checked turrets for rust. Wired brushed a little surface rust and treated with Bilthamber, then Supertrol.
Fitted new shocks and newly painted rear wheels. Took it or a test drive. The new donut bushes and rear shocks have transformed the car.
Feels as tight as a drum at the rear now.
Happy days.
Then had a kip for two ours due to being a decrepit old fart. Might go and give it a wash shortly, as its covered in a thick layer of that reddish dust which seems a permanent fixture around here now.

Wouldn't bother, it'll be back just as bad in a couple of days. :D

Inspired by Mick Dundee having his Sportstars refurbished I thought it time I took mine off the car and gave them a proper clean.  :y

Just washed and dried it. I thought it deserved it. Even took a couple of pics, before it gets covered in dust and pigeon shite again tomorrow. Might post them up later if I can be arsed.

Wouldn't want the responsibility of getting you excited at your age.

One of two things will happen... He'll either soil himself or have a stroke. Then soil himself  :P
