It's either run out of electricity or tyre air... >:D

That said, stuffing it into a puddle might just be terminal...
You are correct.
That's what insurance is for :y

Then buy it back as a project...

Completed (almost) daughter's Astra J rear brake service, pins and pads. Left side handbrake's lever is sticking. Cable is new but lever spring cannot release the handbrake completely. Ordered new caliper. No time to try to repair the old one as car neede daily.. Better not to use handbrake now as left side has to be release by hand.

Stripped the drive shafts, good service as ordered Sat and they came Tues. One shaft the joints were on tight as had to use a puller on one and a press (puller would not fit) on the other end. Spent ages working out the new length as dont want to get it wrong this time!

measure 10 times and hope my maths are right you mean!!! The shaft is x mm long , the joint on outside is level with the outer flange in the middle of its travel and inner joint is 70mm from diff face (seal) and that joint is level with the inner joint face when in middle. So its distance from hub flange to outer edge of inner joint plus inner joint spline, now you see why my brain got fried!!

Drove it to Guildford and back yesterday.  That and the trip back from Wales means it's done 300 miles since it's bath, so I'm reasonably confident I've got away with it mechanically.

So far it's only cost a new air filter and I suspect a battery (excluding all the kitchen roll and electric trying to dry out the cabin and boot).

I'll take that.

I have a tinny rattle from underneath, sounds heatshield type noise, but need to whip off undertrays to investigate when manflu subsides.

Drove it to Dorridge and back.  That's around 200 miles its done with the footwell heaters on full chat, so the carpets feel bone dry now.

If you feel brave, lift the carpet.

Im considering washing the C1 to give myself a bit of a gentle kickstart, but then again I might not bother.  ;D
