Removed EGR off the 2.5td and cleaned as best as i could, was absolutely caked in carbon and oil mist deposits.

Looking inside the intake manifold i wasn't too impressed either to be honest, So i took that off too,
Absolute sod getting it out. But did it, and cleaned it as best i could. Not too easy as home.

Would have been better to get a jet wash down it, But i dont have one.
Seems to be a lot cleaner now.
Was so much sludge in it. About 5mm think on the walls. No good at all.

stoopid EGR recirculating dirty air. But supposed to help economy when cruising?
Was tempted to blank it off. But economy is low enough for me.

replaced the broken rear springs and fitted new rear shock absorbers this afternoon. 2 hour job due to one of the shock absorber top nuts refusing to budge so out came the grinder!!...all in all a nice easy job. rear end now sitting at the proper ride height and much better handling now. not bad for £100. :)

Nothing today, but its service changes on the Mig and Peugeot this weekend, so oil, filter, plugs etc. as long as the rain holds off ... fingers crossed.

Rode past it on the Triumph.  Went for a bacon roll at the biker's hut. ;)

Fitted the front HID sensor; had to drill a hole in the aftermarket wishbone to do so. Unlike the butcher who fitted the wishbone, who just broke the arm off the sensor. Now I don't have the annoying error message every time I start the car.
Oh, and collected the Avenger from it's MOT. Not used it for 2 months, so ran it round the block, checked the lights work and parked it outside the test centre. And it passed!

Just fitted a pair of Ali headlight adjusters - easier job than I thought.

Just gotta realign them when the rain stops
(I marked the beam points on the garage door before starting  :y )

You have to heat the lights in the oven?
Both mine are gone too....annoying not being able to adjust them properly

I did, 5 mins at 100 degress was enough for the glue to be soft so they just pulled apart.

Never removed a headlight before, took me 2 hours to do the pair.

I just removed the easy loose bits from the light, warm up, remove and refit as necessary, cut off as much old glue as I could, and silconed em back together (my sikaflex had dried up  :'( )
