Also discovered that you can't get an Omega bonnet in a Vectra C Estate. >:(

Maybe not, but believe it or not, you *CAN* fit the boot from a saloon facelift in the back of a Ford Ka :D
Hell of an avatar you've got there Paul  :o

Mounted the uphill garden controller on the hand brake surround and hid it's cable and the Nokia car kit cable under the gear lever surround.

Drilled some holes in an inlet manifold and packed the car.  :)

Another Bonnet Strap broken (under hood), kicked the tyres, wriggled the exhaust, had a cup of tea, thought long and hard about it, decided to make a Bonnet release tool from a bit of copper pipe lying around, 30 mins later having another cup of tea and looking inside the Engine Bay.

Chris.  :)

Not mine, but found leak on my brothers Mondeo. This time its coming from the thermostat housing.  ::) ::) ::)
I'm not kidding, this car's had more bloody water leaks than a sponge. I've already replaced 3 waterpipes this year!!!
Now all I've got to do is get a new one (plastic one & its knacked) then start on the drop links. How the passenger side one passed the MOT the other week I'll never know  :-?

Cus im  a total pro, i took the breather stuff apart and cleaned it.
i say total pro, im not really as i didnt have the right size torx socket so the throttle body hasnt been taken off and cleaned....  lol i done what i could, main thing is i know how to do it now and next time will be much quicker.

i did fit a KN filter aswell, only reason being i like the noise when you floor it. which isnt that often but still...
(havnt used a heat shield or anything cus thats just how i roll)

So far, after a 40 mile drive, it all seems pretty good hasnt hesitated like it did, pulls much stronger to the red area, and feels more responsive. inside the throttle body was pretty darn black so should have that off monday and cleaned when i get some new shiney sockets lol

Not done anything, but just nipped down to the LPG party at Johnnycboys house. It was a bit of a mini OOF meet as mine was the fifth Omega to be parked at his house. Beaconboy and mate had also turned up to say hello etc.
Theyve made good progress today.

Stripped paneling and door cover off Transit to find an irritating rattle that has been driving me mad. Replaced the cam cover gasket on Omega and then cleaned the oil off the block where it had been seeping . Traced the source of a misfire . :y
Had a couple of hours more to myself so decided to have a go at this "Claying " malarky .....
I bought a Meguirs kit some two years ago but was very sceptical as to what it would achieve .
Anyway , I'm impressed . Paint surface is glass smooth and after polishing the car with Auto Glym super resin it certainly shines . Well worth the effort.
This is a poor photo as it was raining outside but it shows the results on the roof.

Bloody Hell that's good  :o

At first glance there I thought you'd cut the metal out of the roof and fashioned a new shape out of wooden batons - took me a while to realise what I was looking at  ;D

Drove it, which is quite impressive considering the state of dismantle it was in at tea time yesterday.
