What about a Webcam???
I have plenty of cheap webcams.

What I don't have is sufficient bandwidth to run this forum and do live updates ;)
Actually.... ....I wonder.... ....Hmmm....

Not a dedicated line, but we run 2mbit at ours which does not get much use....

I am sure we can stream it from ours, any ideas on the software to use?
I have a 'spare' DSL line here, dynamic IP though. Syncs at 6.3Mb, so some throughput on it.  May take 15m snapshots and ftp theb up to a host somewhere.....    ....leave it with me....

We have a V6 at the 2.2 party since the V6 location is full!!!

Nothing wrong with the 4pots, I get 10mpg better at 80+ in the 2.2 compared to the Senator!
.... apparently if you take your foot off the accelerator in the sennie the MPG improves  ;)

I'll be bringing (but not using) my locking kit & 30mm spanner so they can be used at either location (or both) ...

I managed to squeeze 37 mpg from the Senator on the run back to uni, but that was doing 65 mph all the way back!

I can get 36mpg doing 85mph with 3 people in the car in the 2.2 on a motorway run!

That extra kit will come in handy! Thanks!  :y
It should get more economical after every speed bump, as more and more bits/rust fall off....

They do have a habit of sending out non genuine parts, even when requested.  However, I thought Gates/SKF was a very good combo?

I am genuinely gutted that I cannot make it this weekend. I am booked up for lessons on Saturday :(

I will however have a break at lunch, so I will call at least to say hello to the gang.

Good luck to everyone. Should be a great day all round and I will be laughing at thinking about you all.

SKF belts are fine....but not genuine and hence arguably not as described.....

Sounds good :)

Gonna go down Costco tomorrow and stock up on soft drinks for those that have to travel. Thinking along lines of 7-up, Pepsi Max, Coke.  Anything else I need to get in?

I'll also stock up on kitchen roll, as always get through tonnes of the stuff working on cars...

Right, parts wise, I have got a cambelt kit and aux belt for MaxV6.  Waterpumps appear to be in short supply around here.

Has everyone else managed to arrange their parts?

Already had the cambelt kit, it would appear ive found a dealer who will have the water pump in for me in the morning, but we all know what Vxl parts are like!!

They did mention something about 3 new bolts also required, is this true?????

Paper plates?  All sounds good to me!  Also, feel free to delegate, I'm happy to grab whatever.

One for Marks_DTM I think.

I haven't ever specifically bought bolts for water pumps, so either they come with it (along with the seal), or I have reused existing...

Only if Timbuk touches it  :o

I didn't replace any bolts that didn't come with the pump.

I don't have a TC card, but if anyone is desperate I can see if the local stealership has what you need and bring it down.

Not essential....a bit of threadlock and the correct torque does the job nicely.

Threadlock?  Right torque?  Didn't happen on my waterpump.  ::)  The 'proper torque' fell between what the small and large torque wrenches I had could do.

Speaking of, who's gonna bone up on the DVD before this weekend?  Obviously not the experts, but some of us probably should  :P
