Done fan test, all seems to be in order there. As a precaution-and because they're cheap enough-I'm going to change fan temperature switch[the one directly below top hose] and the sensor on coolant bridge along with the sender beside it.Any others I should be aware of?

Busy day at Casa del 944 today. Changed:

Timing belt
Aux belt
Tensioners & idlers
Water pump
Thermostat
Front discs and pads

Oh and the fscking crankshaft position sensor- what a bloody performance. Took an hour of swearing and arsing about just to get near the little sod.

Other than that, all went pretty smoothly.  ;D

Looked at it out the window.
It's still there.
It still needs a clean.

I was ahead of the A43 snarl up, sat through M40 from Chickenshit Canyon to Wycombe, and didn't even bother getting on M25.  Trip home was traffic free :)
