Dropped the sumps off the new AR35, draining out the remaining old ATF, cleaned them out. Spent ages removing traces of old gasket (grrr!) and re-fitted with nice new GM gaskets, ready for a fresh dose of ATF.

Also tightened up the gearbox oil cooler pipe union near the bellhousing, as that was a bit, erm, loose.

Picked up the Mrs, and opened a cold beer :y

Looks well that. Is it a CDX?

Same colour as mine and like the grey trim instead of colour coded.
That has just convinced me to get a tailgate spoiler

Cheers Phil, and yep she's a CDX.
The boot spoiler is quite badly scored somehow, it looks like someone gone at it with a vinyl cutting tool!

If you get one make sure you get the adapter for the aerial otherwise to spoiler will hit it.

Fitted the new genuine GM/Opel floor mats to SWMBO's Zafira then cracked on with fitting new genuine passenger seat base cover, replacing the one with the large fag burn (not us, there when we bought it)! Looks good it do too!!

Finally plucked up the courage to change the steering wheel airbag, need to do that as the horn buttons had worn through (Common thing over here in Spain, can't think why!?!?!?!)

Don't like working on them explosivey/electrickery things, even when the power is off/disconnected.....residual charge and all that.

Now it looks a lot nicer on the inside, just got a few odds and sods to do on the outside now.

Weather has been nice though, sort of makes you get up and do things.

Fitted a new battery, yesterday, bought from VX, old one was flat. reading 12.1 volts. Check charge rate over 14 volts.
The old battery was on the car when I bought it, had car the best part of six years, think it might have been the original. :y

Changed the bonnet struts back for my original (tired) ones, after the (2nd hand) replacements both failed - they won't even extend without help, and oil pissing out everywhere.

It took both Mrs TB and I to change them - she's a shortarse weakling, and I am equally as useful currently ;D
