I fitted the new to me front grill to the Mondeo this afternoon. 

Turned out that it wasn't missing tabs after all, and the tabs I thought were missing turned out to be on the bumper. So apologies to the scrapyard monkey that I dissed! 

So it was simply a case of prising out the remains of the old one and pressing the new into place, click, click, click as the tabs slotted into place and two fastenings at the top. Easy.
