Ah, I'm glad it's not just me! That's what I did - spent a week thinking "Hmm, I wonder if the crank sensor is on it's way out" .. and then it promptly gave up, just like yours. Still got me to work and back two/three times (struggling to start) before it packed in completely, though.

Well, it got me home, but took a worrying amount of cranking to start. Will avoid any long journeys for the moment, I think. :-\

Tech2 out tomorrow, I guess.

Exactly the same failure mode as mine - cranking got longer and longer until .. it just wouldn't catch and fire.
If it did catch, though, it always got me where I was going without trouble..

Nope .. I've had one ever since the one on the 2.5 went and left me stranded .. I even persuaded my local stealers to swap the unused 2.5 one for the 3.2 one ..  :y :y :y

Many thanks for the offer. :y

I've got another on order from Andy arriving Tuesday and i don't really need to use the car until then, although I'm supposed to be showing off the LPG install to some interested parties on Monday night. I'll hope for the best and wing it on that. Sod's law says that, if I deprive you of your spare this far from home ... :-X

 ;)

Kettle can always be readied if you want to stop by for a cuppa, though. :y

Doubt we'll have time TBH, but thanks for the offer.  :y

Nearly called in last Wednesday when I went past the end of your road (twice) but was still in working hours and I wasn't the best of company due to dealing with muppets ::)

Filled it with V Power 8) £91.25 :'(

Currently goes like a scalded cat with a trident up its tail 8), not sure if that's just the fuel or that it's starting to feel better :-\

Really can't get enough of the noise it's making from 3000 rpm onwards 8) might also explain the thirst ::) but still running at 22mpg inspite of bombing around...
