Yet another oil change ::) had to resort to using 5w30 as I forgot to aquire some more semi synth when I picked up the filter tother day :'( expecting the lifters to be a touch noisy with the thinner oil...

Can't grumble though, 20 litres of 5w30, 5 litres of coolant, 12 plugs, 3pollen filters and 6 oil filters for the 3 work Vectras and the oil filter for the Omega were a whole £70...

Mine's quieter on the decent stuff. Mind you, it's only been to the moon, not past it, to Mars and back again. ;)

(Yesterday, in fact) Finally fitted the set of Yokohama AD08s that Aaron, I believe, suggested I might like to try on the Westfield, many moons ago.

Before the release agent had been scrubbed off I figured out that it will now pull all the way through 1st gear at full throttle whereas before it would sit still with a rapidly worsening smell of burning rubber. ;D

Thought I'd try the braking performance, and realised it was pretty respectable, after fetching my eyes from the dashboard and reinserting them in their sockets. :o

Collected a tool in a 350z doing an "oh, look, a sportscar, I'll sit on his @rse" move. Came to a slip road with a 270 degree spiral and wondered if I could now take it without lifting... yep. :y 350z now so far behind I think he stopped for an undergarment swap. :D

Gave the Westfield a bit of a fettling ready for a trip to Jockular land.

Lying underneath, looking at the gearbox.. "I suppose I should check the oil".

Unscrewed level plug.. splat! Straight into my Barnet.

Gearbox oil should be renamed "Involuntary shampoo".. "With added extract of incontinent feline". >:(

Guess I'm having a shower next. ::)

Reminds me, I should really check/change the ATF in TBE.  I'll wait until that nice Mr Wood is about, he enjoys a good hairwash in stinky oils ;D

Swapped mig for an Insignia CDTI SRI as it's gone for insurance repair. Seat's uncomfortable, turbo lags & a lesser spec'd model but otherwise ok.

Although having put £85 of diesel in it, told by computer it has 645m of range, and having driven it to chelmsford, stafford, surrey, york, surrey & home discovered it was telling the truth, I wonder why in hell I'm driving a 3.2 v6 in the first place!

Are there any other diesel migs other than the 2.2?
