Got home from work at 8am,slept until just after 12 noon.It started to pour with rain about then and didnt let up until 5pm.
This was very unfortunate as I had to take the AR35 out of the breaker today as Bigboykarl is coming to collect it from me at work tonight to take up to Stoke.
So I spent over 4 hours lying under the car on the pissing rain with water running into and out of every nook & cranny. Hands were numb which made the job that much harder.Every time I stood up I had little rivers running out the bottom of my jeans,and the n/s cat had rounded nuts so I couldnt get it off which didnt help.
At one point my ears were full of water and the little rivers running out of the holes in the chassis legs had run into my eyes so I couldnt see a bloody thing. ........there were a few times when I almost           
Finally got it finished around 5pm - soaked to the skin,shivering with cold,knuckles missing lots of skin,even had a cut on the middle of my forehead (no idea why). A hot bath never felt so good.I now ache from head to toe.
Im definitely getting far too old for this mullarkey.

Today i turned the heater on for a change , one thing about the omega is a nice hot heater burning your feet

Well yesterday actually, Oil and filter on the DTi, also greased the brake pipes. Next job, front tyres on Janes estate.

Hopefully my updated sticker for my ABS tradeclub card will be through this week as i'm now out of most consumables.... (

Started stripping the DTi for spares. Removed the inlet manifold and injector pump up to now

Changed the radiator on one of the Vectras at work... not sure why, but even with over zealous coolant management, they only seem to last 100k

Reminds me, I should probably sort the rad on mine it's getting a bit weepy at the left hand end

I put everything back together after changing drivers side exhaust manifold gasket and also changed the passenger side bagpipes to plenum intake pipe, then I took the car for a nice long test drive.

Replaced the 3 dash illumination bulbs in the Silver Bullet - blew one fitting yet another colour screen in it.

Replaced sidelight bulb.  Had to go to Hellfrauds, as somebody nicked my spare bulb kit

Found scratches all over  the place don't know where they came from 
So got the magic pen out and most have gone

Dash ones. They're not driven hard, so suspect life will be acceptable. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.


Actually, not really had much trouble with Hellfrauds bulbs in recent time, even the MID doesn't moan...
