When you hook it off, clean out the breathers, and wash the gauze through (you'll see it, litle one of those kettle antiscaling devices).

Multiple types of cam gasket, I always found I was supplied with the one for dizzy-equipped K series. Hopefully, factors have better info now...   ...yours needs the type with the hole for the cam sensor (and its not easy to cut one in on the wrong type.

Talking of cam sensors, often failed, but no warning light (BMW era ;)). I have a Testbook here if ever you want it checked.

Final touch on the icing was to put back the wheel bolt covers  :)

After replacement :

Valve stem seals
Head gasket
Water pump
Cambelt kit
2 wishbones
2 droplinks
2 anti roll bar bushes
Full service
Complete exhaust system

All for the fun of it  >:( ;D

Now what omega to buy next  :-\

Fitted new ETS exhaust on the 2.6 and also did the oil and filter.

Broke down in the M3 trying to join a very busy roundabout on the A322 (the one right by the leisure centre for any locals) when I found I had a gearbox full of neutrals. Pushed it as much out of the way as I could while I awaited the AA and left the hazards on.

The number of people who stopped inches behind it and started to look angry when it didn't move was quite bemusing - I was stood beside the car and there was no driver, even so it took one lady about two minutes to realise it wasn't about to pull away.. ::)

Now need to see if I can get the wishbones done on the Omega before the 26th when we go on holiday in case the M3 is still broken..  :(
